I recently sold a bike online and the guy who bought it sent me an echeck to be deposited into my bank account. I am doing online banking with Bank Of America. I printed the check and mailed it to them in first class mail. I was recently informed by the guy who bought it that the check had been deposited into my account, but it doesn't show anything on my account page that it has been deposited. What could be the problem?
It's possible that the bank simply failed to credit your account. Contact the check's issuer and ask for a copy of the check, if that's possible, along with any information that documents where and when and to which account it was deposited. With that information, contact your bank and start an inquiry.
