Can I cash a company check today that has the wrong date on it?
If the date is in the past, but less than six months ago, you should not have a problem as long as the funds are there to pay it, but if the date is in the future, the bank the check is drawn on could refuse to pay it, particularly if the issuer of the check doesn't want it paid early. If you deposit the check early and it bounces, you could have problems with your account and incur fees.
Payrolls are sometimes processed with an incorrect date, and arrangements are often made to ensure the checks are paid regardless of the date. The only way to make sure is to try cashing the check at the bank on which it is drawn. Contact the issuing company first to find out if it has already made arrangements to have the checks honored.
