Social Security and Home Sale

I am on Social Security, and just sold my old mobile home for $17,480. Its a one-time deal, but if I deposit the payment I received, will Social Security benefits stop or reduce my monthly payments because of this income?

Social Security benefits can be affected by wages earned, but the sale of an asset, even if it creates a taxable event for IRS purposes, shouldn't affect your Social Security eligibility. If your payments were SSI (supplemental income) benefits, the result might be different.
