Dfference Between 2nd Party and 3rd Party

If a check says "no third party endorsement", can I sign it and say "pay to (name of another person)"?

If that other person attempts to cash or deposit the check, he or she may have problems, and the check could be returned unpaid. The other person becomes a "third party" to the check, and the terms of the check prohibit its transfer to a third party. Your choices in such a case are to cash or deposit the check at a bank.
