Accepting Check with Changed Date

Will a bank accept a check with a bogus date(July 12, 2007) after I correct the date and initial it?

There is no guarantee that the bank will pay the check with an altered date, particularly since the original date is way beyond six months ago. A bank always has the right to refuse payment on a customer's check that is more than six months old. You could take a chance and hope that no one notices how old the check is, but there's a good possibility that someone will see the date and refuse payment.
