I received a non-MICR bank draft from a foreign country; is it acceptable? What are the guidelines regarding this?
Ask your bank for assistance in getting the draft collected. It can't simply be deposited. Your bank will quote you its fee for collecting the draft and a guess about how long the process may take. There is likely to be a fee imposed by the paying bank, too.
