Using a Sticker for an Endorsement

We have many checks that need to be endorsed. Can we do this by using a sticker made with the payee's signature and account number pasted to the back of the check? For example, placing the signature with account number on a return address sticker, printing it, and then sticking it to the back of the check. Will the bank accept this type of endorsed check?


Do not use a sticker. The efficient handling of checks depends on consistent paper weight and thicknesses; a sticker would most likely, if you'll pardon the expression, gum up the works. You should be able to obtain an inexpensive endorsement rubber stamp reading something like:

For deposit only
[payee name]
