Depositing Inheritance:To Whom is this Reported?

I'm going to inherit a sum of money, slightly over $10,000.00, which will be in a check from the account of the estate (taxes are already paid). To whom does my bank report (if any) the deposit?

There would be no reason for your bank to report a deposit by check, regardless of its source. You may be thinking of a requirement that banks report cash transactions over $10,000. That requirement only applies to cash, not to checks. To read more about what banks report to the IRS, click here.
