Can One Person Deposit Joint Check?

I have a check made out to myself and another person with the names connected by "and." We have both endorsed the check, but the checking account is only in my name. Is there any way I deposit the check without the other person present?

That will be entirely up to the bank that holds your account. Banks have their own policies regarding the acceptance of checks for deposit, particularly checks with multiple payees or endorsements.
