Determining Name on Account from Deposit Info

I have the reverse-side information from a deposited check, as well as the front. How can I determine the name on the account where the check was deposited?

It's unlikely that you will be able to get that information unless it happens to be included in the endorsement on the back. The bank in which the check was deposited can't provide the name of its customer unless it receives either its customer's release for that information or a subpoena compelling it to provide the information.

If your payee is claiming that it never received the check, you may be able to recover the check amount from your bank. First, your payee would have to provide an affidavit that it neither received the check nor received any benefit from it. Then you would enter a claim with your bank, which would enter a claim with the bank that took the check for deposit.
