I wrote a post-dated check to my landlord last Thursday, explaining that the money would be available on Friday. Today is Tuesday, and no check has been posted. I have access to online banking where I can view check images that have not yet been posted to the account. I see that my check was received and sent to my bank dated 7-12-2010 on the back, and a stamp that says "Endorsement Cancelled". Does this mean that my bank will not pay on the check to the payee? I don't understand, because there is money in the account.
If you want information about what your bank has done with the check, contact the bank's customer information service. The customer service representative there will be in a much better position to offer you the specific information you need.
