I want to get a writ of execution for a money judgment against my former landlord, and I'm trying to find where he banks. When I looked at images of my rent checks online, the depositing bank's information on the back of every check was blacked out before scanning, so it's impossible to read.
What are my options? Should my issuing bank be able to identify the bank where my checks were deposited some other way? The people who work there are students (it's actually a university credit union) and they didn't seem to know what to do.
Someone at your credit union will know how to determine the bank depositing your checks. After all, what would the credit union do if one of your checks bounced? To whom would they send it back?
