Can a bank customer who banks totally online and has no checkbook, write a check on a blank piece of paper if he provides all the necessary bank info on it?
Such a check could be legally negotiable, but the practical need to have checks conform to modern automated processing size, paper-weight and magnetic ink encoding standards would make it an exercise in futility, particularly if the check would need to be handled by any bank other than the one on which it's drawn.
