Copy is Made of Check with Disparaging Memo

Is it legal for a copy of my check to be made if there was a comment in the memo line that was unappealing to the person cashing it?

There's nothing to prevent a payee from making a copy of a check as long as no fraudulent use is made of it. It might be wise to avoid adding comments to your checks that you don't want others to see.
