I need to get information on a check that I wrote two years ago, but I don't have the cancelled check or past bank statements and I have since closed the account. How do I get that information?

Contact your bank with the information you have. They may have an imaged copy of the check in their files. They can tell you what is available in their records. They will likely charge you a research fee. You may have to ask what the minimum, maximum and anticipated fee will be. It depends on what is involved in finding the copy, as to what the cost would be. A bank with imaged statements may be able to access it in a few minutes once they find the correct media. If it is actually a paper copy, it could take hours. You can weigh their expected cost against your need for the copy.
