Hold Put on Account by Credit Card Company

Can a credit card company put a hold on a person's bank account because that person owes them money, or is this some kind of scam?


If the credit card company goes to court and obtains a judgment against the card holder, the credit card company can then seek to attach or garnish the card holder's account. The card holder should have received a notice about any such court action.
