Bank Seizes Account for Non-Payment

Can my bank seize my account for nonpayment of credit card charges issued to me? Like many others, I find myself out of work and I need the little I have to support myself and my seven year old.

Unless you signed a security agreement pledging your account as collateral for the credit card account, the bank or any other credit card issuer, cannot seize funds in your deposit account unless it first obtains a court order or a court-approved attachment. In either case, you would have notice and an opportunity to be heard in court.
