Getting an Automatic Credit Card at 18

When someone turns eighteen many different banks will send credit cards through the mail. Is this true, or does this happen when you graduate?



It is illegal to send unsolicited credit cards. However, some of the more aggressive credit card issuers send pre-screened offers, usually to lists of individuals who already have some credit history. Other issuers often have representatives on school campuses to solicit business from new college students.
