Credit Card Accounts Multiplied!

I pay my credit card bill online. I went to choose an account to pay from today and there are two additional checking accounts listed. I have not added these accounts and do not believe they are mine. The only information that the credit card company would give was that the accounts have the last four digits of my account number and the last four digits of the routing number. Is there a way that I can find out which bank these are from and if possible who is on these accounts? They said anyone could make a payment to my account and may have added their account information. That is not what has happened. I asked if it was possible that my account info is on someone else's list of accounts to pay from and they could not answer that. I was told just to delete them from my list. I did so, but copied the information. Can you help?

The credit card company should take your questions more seriously. When there are unexplained connections to your credit card account, apparently added by parties unknown, the first thing the card company should be thinking about is fraud and a possible attempt to take over your account. Talk to the credit card company about transferring your account to a new account number. Then review information at the Federal Trade Commission's Identity Theft website. You will find suggestions there about protecting your personal information from being misused by someone else.
