Payment Sent to Wrong Credit Card Company

I mistakenly sent a payment to my husband's credit card company through online banking. The online banking is in my name alone and the credit card I sent it to is in his name alone. I called the credit card company to send back the payment, but they refused to do so. Do I have any recourse through my bank to get the payment recalled?


Your bank won't be able to get the payment back, either. Their view will be that you authorized the payment, so there's nothing they can do. This looks like something you and your husband will have to sort out between yourselves.
