Once I apply for a line of credit how long does the bank have to run my credit?
When you apply for credit, there is no limitation on the time a lender has to access the applicant's credit report. The Fair Credit Reporting Act has restrictions as to when a credit report is accessed. In this case though, "when" is actually "why", and most lenders are granted access because there is a legitimate business purpose. This may be the application for credit, or collections on an existing account.
