The interest charges on my credit card only appear on the paper statements I receive from my bank and not on the online statements. Why do they only appear on the paper statements? Is there any way I can get this information on my online statements as well?
That would be a question best put to the issuer of your credit card. Often, finance charges are not calculated and posted to credit card accounts until statements are created.
If your card issuer is providing you with true account statements electronically, in lieu of providing paper statements, the electronic statements have to include all of the mandatory information included on printed versions. If the statement you are reviewing is simply an on-line view of your account (and you still get periodic statements separately), the disclosure requirements don't apply to the online version. Again, your best bet is to ask your card issuer about having access to the information you need.
