Obtaining Statement from Defunct Bank

I need to obtain a statement from two years ago on a credit card account that I have since closed. The MBNA no longer owns this account. How do I get records from a defunct bank/credit card company?

MBNA was merged into Bank of America. Contact Bank of America and determine whether it has the records you need. Having the old credit card account number should make the search easier. You may find the internet page helpful in tracking down that old account.
