Funds on Hold: Bills Pending: What to do?

I deposited $1000 into an account for a bankruptcy lawyer. I owe Capital One. Today I went to cash a check for $20 and they told me that the credit card company had my money on hold. Now, I do not know what to do. Please help me.

You need to call your attorney. There are certain protections you have under the bankruptcy rules. Many don't take effect until you have actually filed, though. It also depends on if the funds are in your account, or if they have been applied to your debt. In any case, your attorney needs to advise you.
