My grandmother died and my mom was executor for her estate. Then my mother died, and I am the executor of her estate. I get stock dividend checks in grandma's name once a month. How do I cash them?

Your grandmother's estate can't stay open forever. It has to be closed out. Since the executor is now deceased, the court has to appoint a new one. The new executor will be able to negotiate those dividend checks. More importantly, however, the executor should take steps to get the underlying investments transferred to the new rightful owners. This is something that you mother undoubtedly overlooked as executor of her mother's estate; you should take care to address any similar assets in your mother's estate rather than allow them to drag out the administration of the estate.
