Accessing Deceased's Joint Account

I need to find out how to retrieve my father's joint checking account with his sister, from 1955. My father passed away long ago, and we never had good relations with our aunt.

If the account was joint with your aunt, it became her account on your father's death. If the account even exists any longer, the bank holding the account would not be able to talk to you about it, and you would have no claim on it.
