Suspicions, but No Will

How do I find out it if my deceased mother had any bank accounts? There is no Will and will be no probate. I was wondering if my sister stole the money.

Go through any old files or papers that your mother may have had to see if there is any evidence of bank accounts such as statements, correspondence, account notices, etc. You can also take a look at the Missing Money website. This website is supported by the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators. You might find information leading to funds surrendered to the state by banks that formerly held accounts for your mother.
