Depositing Cash into Estate Account

Can a spouse deposit cash into her husband's estate account if she is not the executrix?

Arguably, if the cash was owned by the decedent, the proper place for it to facilitate estate settlement is probably the estate account. You should coordinate the deposit with the estate's personal representative, because he or she will have to make an accounting to the probate court, and will need to be able to explain the source of those funds.
