Need Lawyer to Set Up Estate Account?

Can I set up an estate account or do I have to have a lawyer or financial advisor do it?

Untitled

If you have all the required documentation, you should be able to set the account up at a bank of your choosing without professional assistance from an attorney or financial advisor, although if there are special circumstances involved in the estate, you may wish to involve such a professional. The bank will want a certified copy of the decedent's Death Certificate and of your appointment as the executor or administrator of the estate. The latter is sometimes referred to as "Letters Testamentary." A copy of the decedent's Will is not sufficient evidence of your authority to represent the estate.
