International Transfer of Funds

I'm transferring money from England to the United States. What do I need to know?

Untitled

The information you need will depend on the method you choose to transfer the funds. If you use an international wire transfer, your UK bank will need the name and routing information of the bank that will be receiving the funds, along with the name, address and account number of the party to whose credit the funds are being transferred. Find out if the U.S. bank is a SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) member, and ask how best to route the wire instructions.
