Using ATM in Colombia to Withdraw Funds Here

I have both Colombian and US citizenship, and I am planning to move back to Colombia permanently. I was wondering if I can keep my bank account and money here, and take money out as needed from Colombia using the ATM there. Is that possible?

The answer will depend on your bank here in the U.S., and whether it participates in an international ATM network (such as MasterCard/Maestro/Cirrus or Visa/Plus/Visa 24). Most US banks participate in either the MasterCard or Visa ATM network group. Contact your bank to find out if you can keep your U.S. account open after moving to Columbia. The odds are better if your bank is one that has international offices in one of the major cities in Colombia.
