I understand a bank charging a fee to cash a non-customers check even when written on that bank. My question is why am I refused a receipt for this fee? I cash my customers checks to avoid a domino effect on a bad check and subsequent fees, when I ask for a ck. cashing fee rcpt I am rudely refused, what gives?

Rudeness is never excusable, of course. I suspect that your request quite took the bank teller by surprise, since banks are not in the habit of providing receipts when they impose fees.
