1 The next day after depositing it.
2 Yes,returned the check as stopped payment the following day
3 That same day I guess.
4 Within that week I guess
5 It took 8 months to notify me the check that was
returned.(Ref. first story that was 14 months.)

Hope this gives you a better insight into the situation.
My (old) bank would not share with me a time line of the check(do they have to?) so this info came of the back of the returned check and info from the bank that originated the check who was very nice and sorry they could not help any more.

The big qustion still seems to be; How long can a bank take to find their mistake and still take no responsibility and threaten
a customer to correct their mistake?
