My husband just started a small landscaping company and he is starting to get jobs. The checks given to him are in the company name, but we are unable to get any type of banking accounts due to some money problems last year. Is there a way that my husband can take the checks to where ever they are from and have that bank cash it for him, even for a fee?

Some banks will only cash a check for a customer. Others are happy to cash "on-us" checks at the teller window. Your husband will have to show that he is that company, however, in order to get the funds paid to him.

That is up to the bank as to what is acceptable.

Establish a banking relationship as soon as you are able and bank all those check cashing fees.

if cheque is bearer or order u have not mentioned..if cheque is bearer or order u can easily encash your cheque across the bank counter..if your cheque simple crossed than you can discount with agent but if your cheque crossed account payee than u have to open your account with any bank and deposited in it.

A check payable to you can be endorsed by you so that it is then payable to your father. The bank has the option to accept that check, however, and often will want to verify the endorsement. Our recommendation, if possible, would be to go to the bank with your father, show the teller your ID, endorse the check, and have it deposited to the account.
