Is anyone aware of a law or regulation that requires a bank to turn over a copy of accounting to a debtor? (P.S. This is for a home mortgage note.) Thank you to anyone who can help me.

I assume this is on a loan. There may be some consumer regulation in your state to check for, but I'm not aware of any federal regulation that requires it.

That said its good customer service to provide it. Plus why not?

By denying it all you will do is convience the customer you are hiding something.

I have provided these in the past when asked, (maybe 3 times in 30 yeras) but we did recalculate and check they were correct before we sent them out.

In the old days customers used to get a running P and I history monthly.in the form of a payment book.
