I pay my child support out of a wage attachment and the Riverside Ca. child support office has put a levy on my account which cost me $75.00 a month. and my account has been overdrawn twice since last Apr. of 2005.
My online account reads, legal orders fee. From my bank.
How can we stop this rip off.

Contact the Child Support office to have the levy removed. The bank incures charges you because they have to do monitoring of levy accounts.

There is nothing to withdraw if the funds are all held. You can't really close it because the bank has to hold those funds until instructed to send them off. Excess can then be withdrawn and the account closed. Payment is the only way these problems go away though. Payment one way or the other.

My fathers name is on an account and both our names are on the safety deposite box opened under that account. I have a judgement against me and the court just ordered by personal account levied. Can they get to the box too? Again, the account isnt under my name.

If the action is against just you and you are not on the deposit account, it shouldn't be touched. You have no ownership interest.

If the court or entity has reason to believe you have assets they should have access to in the box, or that you put in your dad's account, they may ask for them. We can't say how successful they would be, however.
