Well I am confused on what to do,someone has made an ACH deposit to my buisness account for a large sum. There was fraud on my personal account recently which are both at the same bank. I did get my money back on that account though. when looked into this I found that both of these came frome the same state(not mine)How did they get my account information, and what do I do? They havent yet tried to take the money back yet, i left it sitting there.

Contact your bank - tell them what you told us - if it's not your money, why would you not do something about it - someone is trying to use you and/or your bank to commit fraud - if you don't point it out you may find yourself in a nasty situation. And you will not be able to claim ignorance as you have already discovered the activity. In life it's best to be honest- pick up the phone, call the bank - now.

Tex is right, honesty is the best policy here. Also, if this truly is an unauthorized event that happened to your account I would close the account and open a new one.

Thanks for the advice!!! I told my bank and they left it in my account. I finally got a call from the bank to let me know that the payee wanted to know if they could have the money, of course I said YES!! Please!! I then learned the money was sent "from" the Department of Defense. I dont know how they got my info but I'm glad its gone.
