I just starting working for a new bank... when dealing with employees using their vacation, this new bank requires employees to take 1 straight week off at a time.... meaning you can't take a day off here and a day off there... you must take a whole week off. The HR lady told me it is a "banking regulation". The bank I used to work for, which is much larger and has 100's of branches, did not have such a rule.

So is my new bank's HR lady right? Is there a regulation about taking time off and employees having to take a week at a time?
Thanks!

If you are FDIC regulated look at FIL-52-95 - you will find the one week issued addressed there.

Depends on what agency you are regulated by and whether you are a state bank or not - and what your state banking regulations say. In NM as a state bank you have to take two weeks together if you get that much. Talk about outdated!
