Will Pay Loan, but on My Terms

I guaranted a loan with my house. I am presently a month and a half late. They receive money, but always late. They made me sign a document that they could take my house if I don't pay them. This is not my plan. I will pay them, but if I claim bankruptcy, is this possible? I don't want my wife to get worried.

You don't think your wife will be concerned if you have to declare bankruptcy in an attempt to save the house? If things have reached the point at which you are considering bankruptcy, you should be talking to an attorney to discuss your options, and by all means, don't leave your wife in the dark. If she's going to hear about this mess, it should be from you, first.
