Establishing a Bridal Registry Bank Account

Are there any banks in New York that offer a bridal registry account for the purposes of saving for a home down payment? If so how do I go about setting one up?

Call your favorite bank and ask. The FHA has a special bridal registry account and New York based lenders probably participate in this program. "The Bridal Registry Account allows couples who are getting married to open a bridal registry savings account with a participating Federal Housing Administration approved bank. Family and friends may deposit cash wedding gifts directly into the interest-bearing account."
