Signature Forged on Re-Mortgage

My ex-husband and I own a home together. He was supposed to remove my name from the title in 1995, but he didn't have good credit at the time, so we left it. We verbally agreed that if he were to sell the house, we would put some of the profit towards our daughters' educations. I recently found out that he re-mortgaged the house in 2004 and had someone else forge my name.

Currently I have a different name than is on the mortgage, because I have since remarried. What recourse do I have? I would like to go after the bank for not requesting ID when he re-mortgaged the house. What result can I expect from this?

Contact an attorney. There is a likelihood that you can stir up a real ruckus with the lender and your ex-husband when you inform the lender that you didn't sign the mortgage deed and note.
