What to do When Purse is Stolen

My savings account book and money in my purse was stolen. What do I need to do about it?

You should let your bank know about this, in the event the thief attempts to withdraw any of your funds. You should report the loss to the police as well.

When you speak with your bank, ask them for any resources they have on identity theft. BQ has some links to assist you on our resources page, under Identity Theft.

What you want to prevent is this person from using your identity to open new accounts or transact business in your name. You'll find a lot of good information on these links so that you can monitor your credit and stop new accounts from being opened.
