Students At Risk For ID Theft

I am in college, and I am being swamped with credit card offers. Is there something I should be doing with these offers, which I definitely don't want?

Credit card offers get sent in huge numbers to college students in the hope of getting new relationships started while the targets are still young. It's a bad idea to simply toss these offers in the trash, so you should shred them (you can purchase a small shredder for personal use for a nominal cost). Dumpster divers are known to pull these card solicitations from the trash and use them to get credit cards in assumed -- stolen -- names.
