One Absolute Rule

Is there one Absolute Rule I can always trust when I get an email message that asks me to click on a link?

Here's one rule that you can always follow to help protect yourself: Absolutely never enter your personal, private information into a website that you landed on by clicking on a link in an email, even if you do business with the apparent sender of the message! If the message asks you to check account information, resolve a problem with an order, respond to a survey, etc., we wary. If you have reason to visit a website, type the web address (URL) yourself or use your bookmarks or favorites. Don't use an apparent shortcut in an email message.
