A money order was stolen with the receipt still intact. Is there any way the bank can stop payment without the receipt?
If you can provide the bank with enough information on the date, location and time of your purchase of the money order, it may be able to narrow down the list of issued money orders to identify the one that was stolen. Act quickly, though. Once the money order is paid, it will obviously be too late to stop payment.
