Money Order Has Invalid Account Number

I paid for a money order through Western Union and submitted it to someone for payment. When she attempted to deposit it into her account, it was returned stamped 'invalid account number', yet when I called to track it, Western Union is still showing it as an outstanding money order. Why would this happen?

Someone has made an error. If you purchased the money order from Western Union, it should indeed be valid. If your payee has a Western Union office nearby, she could take the money order there to find out what happened.
