Lost 'Cashier's Check': What to do?

I lost a large cashier's check that was made payable to a company to whom I was going to FedEx it. What can I do? Can someone cash this check even with another name on it and my signature? I didn't sign the back of it.

The "check" you describe that was signed by you, sounds more like a personal money order than a cashier's check. Cashier's checks are signed by a bank official, not by the purchaser. If that is the case, you should be able to place a stop payment on it, and obtain a replacement or refund. There will be a fee for this. Contact the bank to find out how to proceed.
