I got a money order from my bank so I could pay my rent. The rental office lost it, and my ex-girlfriend "accidently" threw away the receipt. Is there any way the bank could track that money order if I don't have the receipt number?
The bank may be able to identify the money order if you can remember exactly when you bought it and at which branch. If the bank keeps accurate records of money orders sold by branch, it may take a day or two, but they should be able to help you.
