Old, Blank Money Order: What to do?

My uncle passed away and we inherited his house. While cleaning it out, we found a blank $900.00 money order. It does not have his name or the person to whom it was going to on it. The only thing on it is the amount. It is old, but has no expiration date. The bank where it was purchased has changed names. Can it be cashed?

Your best action is to research the company behind the money order, or to go to the successor bank that took over the one which issued it. If the funds are available, or were escheated to the state because the money order was never cashed, they would belong to the estate of your uncle.
