I sent a money order in September 2007. How do I check to see if it cleared?
You can contact the issuer of the money order, if you have that information. If it's a Postal Money Order, and you have kept a record of the serial number and dollar amount, you can visit a Post Office and complete paperwork (there may be a small fee) to find out if and when it was paid.
If it's a money order from a bank, you can ask the bank, if you have the serial number and dollar amount. If you bought the money order at a convenience store or other outlet, you should have a copy that gives you a contact telephone number.
